Kimberly Beck has spent 20 years litigating complex cases. For 13 of those years, she represented defendants, including major corporations and manufacturers. That experience gave her firsthand insight into how sophisticated defendants investigate claims, evaluate risk, develop strategy, work with experts, and prepare cases for trial.
Eventually, Kim decided she wanted to use that experience differently.
Today, she represents only plaintiffs.
As the founder of Beck Law Center, Kim represents people who have been seriously harmed by dangerous products, negligence, and intentional wrongdoing. Her practice focuses on product liability, serious personal injury and wrongful death, and civil claims for assault and abuse.
Kim intentionally built Beck Law Center as a small, selective firm. Clients don’t hire her name only to have their case disappear into a large organization. Kim remains personally involved in the cases she accepts. She believes clients should know their lawyer, understand what’s happening in their case, and feel comfortable asking questions.

Kim began practicing law in 2006 after graduating third in her class from the University of Dayton School of Law.
She began her career at Dinsmore & Shohl, representing pharmaceutical manufacturers and other Fortune 500 companies in complex litigation. There, she learned how sophisticated corporate defendants investigate claims, develop litigation strategy, work with experts, and prepare cases for trial.
Four years later, Kim joined Ulmer & Berne, an Ohio-based law firm with a nationally respected product liability practice. Working alongside accomplished defense lawyers deepened her experience handling complex cases involving significant medical, scientific, and technical issues.
After more than a decade representing defendants, however, Kim began thinking differently about how she wanted to use that experience.
In 2019, she joined Hilliard Law, a Texas-based plaintiffs’ firm known for taking on major corporations in high-stakes litigation. For the first time in her career, Kim was using what she had learned defending companies to represent the people bringing claims against them.
She knew she had found the side of the courtroom where she wanted to stay.
In 2020, Kim founded Beck Law Center. She wanted to create a plaintiffs’ firm that combined sophisticated litigation experience with the accessibility and personal attention of a small practice.
That’s what Beck Law Center is today.
What Kim Does Today
Product Liability
Kim represents people seriously injured by dangerous and defective products, including consumer products, medical devices, medications, machinery, vehicles and components, and other products that should have been safer.
Serious Personal Injury & Wrongful Death
When negligence or wrongful conduct causes a life-changing injury or death, Kim represents injured people and families seeking accountability from those responsible.
Civil Claims For Assault & Abuse
Kim represents survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, physical assault, and other intentional harm in civil cases, including claims against third parties whose conduct contributed to the harm.

Kim’s experience spans both sides of complex litigation. Today, she represents individuals and families. Before becoming a plaintiffs’ lawyer, she spent 13 years representing corporations, manufacturers, and other defendants.
That combination gives her firsthand insight into how sophisticated defendants investigate, evaluate, and defend significant claims.
Representing Plaintiffs Today
- Appointed Co-Lead Counsel in the Singulair litigation, helping lead coordinated litigation on behalf of plaintiffs alleging injuries associated with the medication.
- Obtained a significant settlement for an elderly man who suffered severe burn injuries when a Dyna-Glo heater exploded, pursuing claims involving both the product manufacturer and insurance coverage.
- Litigated claims against major manufacturers, retailers, insurers, and other well-resourced defendants, including Walmart, Ace Hardware, and State Farm.
- Represented plaintiffs in civil assault and abuse cases, including Clark v. Martino’s, an appeal before Ohio’s First District Court of Appeals.

- Spent 13 years representing defendants before transitioning to a plaintiffs-only practice.
- Represented Fortune 500 companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other major corporations in complex litigation.
- Defended product liability cases involving medical and scientific evidence, causation, product warnings, expert testimony, and other complex technical issues.
- Worked on major coordinated product liability proceedings, including In re Darvocet, Darvon & Propoxyphene Products Liability Litigation, federal multidistrict litigation in the Eastern District of Kentucky.
- Worked on In re Accutane Litigation, coordinated product liability litigation in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

Beyond the Courtroom
When she’s not practicing law, Kim is usually learning something, planning somewhere to go, or spending time with the people—and cat—she loves.
A lifelong history enthusiast, Kim is particularly fascinated by American and British history and World War II. She loves to travel and is learning to speak Italian, a project she approaches with considerably more enthusiasm than fluency.
Kim has been married to her husband, Jayson, since 2004, and they share their home with Maddie, a cat who has never shown much respect for the attorney-client privilege.
She’s also happy watching the horse races with some ’90s country music playing in the background.
